Highlife legend Daddy Lumba has prayed for Highlife/Afrobeats star Kuami Eugene declaring his belief that one day Eugene will be a worldwide phenomenon.
Daddy Lumba (DL) said this joining an interview Kuami Eugene, alias Rockstar, granted his media house Accra-based DL FM.
On April 7, 2023, Eugene shared a footage of the prayer on his Twitter timeline.
On the phone, DL, after being saluted by host Nana Adwoa Silky as “the greatest legend of all time,” said, laughing: “I’ve left that [title; status] for Kuami Eugene.”
“Kuami, God bless you. God make you great. God bring to fruition every dream of yours.
“Looking at the way you’ve started, personally, I have faith that one day, you can conquer the whole world with your music,” the businessman and venerated artiste DL declared. “Keep it up.”
Lumba impressed on the ‘Cryptocurrency’ hitmaker to “always keep God first, adding humility.”
DL thanked the Lynx/EMPIRE artiste for the support he shows his brand and music on social media.
He revealed he had noticed a TikTok video Eugene did in celebration of his latest hit ‘Ofon’. Surprisingly, the legend said such acts of support show “that I have a future.”
Furthermore, the ‘Children of the Future’ hitmaker assured Kuami Eugene that he has “heard all [his] requests,” categorically stating “to the hearing all of Ghana” that he will “very soon” invite the young singer-songwriter and record producer to his house “to see what we can do to glorify Ghana.”
DL cautioned Eugene Marfo, alias Kuami Eugene, to stay safe in all that he does.
Ms Silky noted to DL that Eugene had been overwhelmed by his words.
“Oh, he deserves it,” Lumba responded. “He’s a great guy. That’s all I am able to say now until the day I will see him.”
