According to law enforcement sources, Jordan may have died from a heart attack while behind the wheel, but the cause has yet to be revealed.
The news of Jordan’s health comes just hours after CBS Mornings released one of Jordan’s final interviews, which was intended to be aired next week, but instead was shared in light of the tragedy.
Jordan talked about how his years-long battle with addiction had taught him to be of service to others and how his happiness was a direct result of that.
It’s not clear if Jordan died as a result of the wreck or because of a medical emergency.
According to DailyMail.com, the Los Angeles Police Department got a report that a car crashed into the wall at Romaine Street and Cahuenga Blvd. at about 9:30 morning.
His blue BMW was damaged when he hopped up on the Hollywood curb with its front right wheel smashed from the crash.
Jordan was born in Tennessee and was living in Los Angeles at the time.
For his portrayal of Beverly Leslie in the popular NBC series “Will & Grace,” in which he had a recurring role, they awarded him an outstanding guest actor Emmy in 2006.
